Line Cook

Responsibilites include:

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to setup stations for menu.  Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chefs with their daily tasks.  The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.  Private country club experience preferred.

Dishwasher

Our recipes start with our favorite part: Our team! We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The dishwasher’s duties include removing soiled plates and flatware, washing them thoroughly. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare chop stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash and compost receptacles, and other duties, as needed. As our back of the house team, you will be tasked to create a warm and comfortable ambiance through outstanding operational support.

To be successful as a dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Duties include:

Lead Server

We are searching for a reliable, innovative Lead Server to supervise operations at our restaurant. The Lead Server’s duties include scheduling shifts, overseeing staff and assisting with the general operations of the restaurant.  You should also address customers’ complaints and queries in a swift, courteous manner.

An outstanding Lead Server will contribute to the professional development of staff.

The majority of this person’s income will come from server responsibilities.  Lead Server responsibilities offer an additional pay of $1,000/month.

Lead Server Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
  • Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to waitstaff.
  • Resolving customers’ questions and grievances in a professional manner.
  • Ensuring that parties are setup in a timely manner and produced to Ferrari’s high standards.
  • Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring that cash registers are balanced.

 

Lead Server Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous server and/or supervisory experience, preferably within a fine dining restaurant.
  • Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.
  • An eagerness to learn and develop leadership skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
  • Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • TABC certified

 

Food Runner

Food Runners deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately, acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff. Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities, inspecting dishes for visual appeal and to ensuring that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature in a timely fashion is of utmost importance. 

Job Duties

  • Maintain verbal communication with chefs to check on the status of dishes, and call for waitstaff when food is ready to serve.
  • Keep staff well-informed and alert the waitstaff when the kitchen is out of a specific ingredient and relay special food requests from the waitstaff to the kitchen.
  • Monitor portion control of finished dishes, ensuring they adhere to restaurant standards.
  • Meet presentation standards by inspecting every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the customer.
  • Keep kitchen areas clean and order in all cooking, prep, and food storage areas, keeping these areas neat, well organized, and stocked with ingredients.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards to make sure all kitchen and waitstaff follow sanitation standards keeping themselves, their tools, and their work areas clean and presentable.
  • Assist all staff to help as needed.

Responsibilites include:

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
