About the Role
Tonyburgers is hiring Shift Managers (Shift Supervisors) to lead daily restaurant operations and supervise crew members across front-of-house and kitchen teams. This is a hands-on restaurant leadership role ideal for candidates with experience in team supervision, food safety compliance, quick-service restaurant (QSR) operations, and guest service management.
Paid training provided. Growth into Assistant Manager and General Manager roles available.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of restaurant or quick-service (QSR) leadership experience preferred
- Shift supervision and team management (3–10 crew members per shift)
- Food preparation and adherence to food quality and safety standards
- Food safety and sanitation compliance (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Point-of-sale (POS) system operation
- Customer service and guest conflict resolution
- Strong communication and team motivation skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise a team of 3–10 crew members per shift
- Delegate tasks effectively to maintain smooth, efficient service
- Coach, motivate, and support team members throughout each shift
- Lead by example and foster a positive, team-first work environment
Restaurant Operations & Food Quality
- Prep and cook food items according to Tonyburgers' quality and portion standards
- Ensure food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and consistency throughout every shift
- Follow Tonyburgers best practices for kitchen operations and food safety
- Oversee opening and closing cleaning procedures for kitchen, dining room, and restroom areas
Guest Service & Customer Experience
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences and handle customer questions and concerns professionally
- Maintain a welcoming, friendly restaurant atmosphere throughout each shift
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Conduct routine safety checks and address concerns promptly
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate shift updates, staffing issues, and operational concerns to the General Manager
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and smooth handoffs between shifts
