About the Role
Tonyburgers is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (Assistant Restaurant Manager) to help lead daily restaurant operations across both front-of-house and kitchen teams. This is a hands-on restaurant management role ideal for candidates with experience in shift supervision, team leadership, food safety compliance, and quick-service restaurant (QSR) operations.
Paid training provided. Growth into Store Manager roles available.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- Restaurant or quick-service (QSR) leadership experience preferred
- Shift supervision and team management (4–8 employees per shift)
- Staff training, onboarding, and performance coaching
- Food safety and sanitation compliance (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Inventory management and supply ordering
- Employee scheduling and shift coverage coordination
- Point-of-sale (POS) system operation and basic computer skills
- Cash handling and cost control / waste reduction
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and support teams of 4–8 employees per shift
- Train, coach, and onboard new team members
- Delegate tasks effectively to maintain smooth, efficient service
- Build a positive, high-energy, and collaborative work environment
Restaurant Operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Oversee food preparation, quality control, and presentation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply ordering
- Ensure cleanliness and operational standards are consistently met across kitchen, dining room, and restroom areas
Customer Service & Guest Experience
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences every shift
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and feedback professionally
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly restaurant atmosphere
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
- Conduct routine safety checks and team training
- Address safety concerns promptly and thoroughly
Scheduling & Cost Control
- Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage
- Ensure proper staffing during peak periods
- Support portion control, waste reduction, and operational efficiency initiatives
