    Lead Cook – Golf Club Restaurant & Events

    Job Summary

    The Legends Golf Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Lead Cook to support kitchen operations and help deliver exceptional food quality for members, guests, and events. This leadership role assists the Chef and Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily food production, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting kitchen staff.

    The Lead Cook helps ensure that all menu items are prepared with consistency, efficiency, and attention to presentation while maintaining cost control and food safety standards. This role also serves as the kitchen leader when the Chef or management team is not present, helping guide staff and maintain smooth operations.

    Located in St. Louis, MO. The Legends Country Club offers a full-service clubhouse dining experience, banquet events, and high-quality food service for members and guests.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Prepare menu items including soups, sauces, and daily specials when the Chef is unavailable

    • Supervise kitchen staff and food preparation during shifts

    • Assist with training and guiding kitchen team members to maintain quality standards

    • Ensure food presentation, flavor, and portion standards are consistently met

    • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the kitchen

    Kitchen Operations

    • Assume responsibility for kitchen operations when the Chef, Sous Chef, or Food & Beverage Manager is absent

    • Support proper kitchen staffing to maintain efficiency and service standards

    • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency

    • Work across multiple kitchen stations as needed (prep, grill, sauté, etc.)

    • Set up, maintain, and break down workstations during shifts

    Inventory & Cost Control

    • Assist with monthly inventory counts and stock management

    • Support food cost controls through proper portioning and waste management

    • Assist with requisitioning and issuing food supplies

    • Ensure proper stock rotation and storage procedures are followed

    Kitchen Maintenance & Safety

    • Ensure kitchen equipment and facilities are properly maintained

    • Recommend repairs or maintenance when needed

    • Enforce sanitation standards and food safety practices

    • Maintain a safe working environment for all kitchen staff

    Professional Standards

    • Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times

    • Follow all state and local health and safety regulations

    • Support a positive, professional kitchen culture

     


     

    What We’re Looking For

    • Previous kitchen leadership or senior line cook experience preferred

    • Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations

    • Ability to supervise and guide kitchen staff when needed

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

    Event Supervisor / Banquet Captain – Events & Club Dining

    Job Summary

    The Legends Country Club is seeking an experienced and professional Banquet Captain to help lead banquet and event service for weddings, tournaments, private events, and club functions.

    The Banquet Captain works closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and service team to ensure every event runs smoothly while delivering exceptional hospitality to members and guests. This role supervises banquet staff during functions, assists with event setup and breakdown, and ensures club service standards are consistently met.

    The ideal candidate is organized, service-focused, and capable of leading banquet service teams during busy events while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    Event & Banquet Service Leadership

    • Supervise banquet service staff during events when management is not present

    • Assist the Director of Food & Beverage during larger functions

    • Ensure members and guests receive prompt, professional service

    • Coordinate timing of food and beverage service with the kitchen and event schedule

    • Maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism during events

    Event Setup & Breakdown

    • Perform banquet room setup including tables, linens, chairs, and service stations

    • Ensure banquet areas are clean, organized, and ready prior to guest arrival

    • Perform closing duties including removing linens, clearing glassware, dishes, and silverware

    • Reset banquet rooms for upcoming events or club operations

    • Ensure banquet rooms and service areas are properly secured after events

    Staff Supervision & Training

    • Assist with training and guiding banquet staff

    • Ensure all banquet staff are properly uniformed and presentable

    • Attend or assist with pre-event meetings with banquet staff

    • Maintain team organization and service efficiency during events

    Guest Service & Operational Knowledge

    • Maintain knowledge of banquet menus, wines, and service procedures

    • Respond to guest requests and special service needs during events

    • Ensure member satisfaction and service standards are consistently met

    • Assist with a la carte service or bartending when banquet schedule is lighter

    Sanitation & Safety

    • Maintain cleanliness of banquet areas and service stations

    • Ensure all sanitation and hygiene standards are followed

    • Follow all club safety, food handling, and service policies

    • Move up to 100 pounds using carts or hand dollies

    Schedule Requirements

    Lifeguard – Pool & Aquatics Safety

    Job Summary

    The Legends Country Club is seeking responsible and attentive Lifeguards to help maintain a safe, enjoyable pool environment for members and guests. Lifeguards play a critical role in monitoring pool activity, preventing accidents, enforcing safety rules, and responding quickly in emergency situations.

    This role requires strong situational awareness, the ability to remain alert during busy pool hours, and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming experience for all members.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Pool Safety & Supervision

    • Monitor all activity in and around the pool area to ensure guest safety

    • Enforce pool rules and safety regulations to prevent accidents

    • Identify and respond quickly to unsafe behavior or hazardous conditions

    • Direct swimmers out of the water during dangerous weather or unsafe situations

    • Maintain constant visual surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas

    Emergency Response & Accident Prevention

    • Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies or safety incidents

    • Provide first aid, CPR, or rescue support when needed

    • Maintain awareness of weather conditions and follow safety protocols

    • Help prevent accidents through proactive monitoring and rule enforcement

    Pool Operations

    • Assist with opening and closing the pool according to daily schedules

    • Monitor pool conditions throughout the shift

    • Support swim team practices, matches, and special pool events

    • Assist with pool parties or member events as needed

    Facility Cleanliness & Maintenance

    • Maintain a clean and organized pool environment

    • Assist with the cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas

    • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management

     


     

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications

    • Must be at least 16 years of age

    • Current Lifeguard Certification from an accredited program or ability to obtain certification upon hire

    • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain upon hire

    • Previous lifeguard or swim instruction experience preferred

    • Strong attention to safety and situational awareness

    • Ability to remain alert and professional during busy pool operations

    • Comfortable working outdoors in a pool environment

     


     

    Work Environment

    This position operates in the outdoor pool and aquatics facilities at The Legends Country Club in Eureka, Missouri. Lifeguards work closely with members, swim teams, and club staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable pool experience.

    This role requires working outdoors during warm weather and remaining attentive during extended pool hours.

     


     

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary

    • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling

    • Ability to enter and remain in water for extended periods

    • Ability to perform physical rescue and safety procedures when required
