Sharks Restaurant & Billiards has been Shawnee’s home for great food, drinks, and nonstop entertainment since 2006. With a 14,000 sq. ft. venue featuring billiards, darts, golf simulators, arcade games, projection screens, and a full-service bar and kitchen, we’re more than just a restaurant—we’re an experience.

We’re looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager who can help lead our back-of-house team, maintain food quality, and keep the kitchen running like clockwork in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations.

• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality food.

• Assist with ordering, inventory control, and food cost management.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

• Jump in where needed—whether on the line, during prep, or managing expo—to keep service smooth.

• Collaborate with FOH leadership to maintain great communication and workflow between kitchen and service staff.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a kitchen supervisory or lead cook role (Assistant Kitchen Manager or equivalent preferred).

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost controls.

• Ability to lead by example in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Must be 18+ with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
