Host / Expo
Screaming Tuna
Description
Screaming Tuna is a modern Sushi & Asian Bistro with a passion for bold flavors, sustainability, and unforgettable dining experiences. Our flagship location sits right on the Milwaukee Riverwalk, with a second home in the heart of the Mequon Public Market. We’re proudly Wisconsin’s only Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch partner, serving sushi and Asian-fusion dishes that are as responsibly sourced as they are delicious.
As a Host / Expo, you’re part greeter, part traffic controller, part backstage coordinator—and a major part of what keeps the show running smoothly. Whether you’re welcoming guests or ensuring dishes hit the table with perfection, you set the tone for service and help create a truly memorable experience.

-
Manage reservations and waitlists using digital tools (OpenTable or similar)

-
Communicate clearly between BOH (kitchen) and FOH (servers) to ensure smooth service
-
Organize and prioritize tickets to help keep the kitchen running on time
-
Assist in packaging takeout and delivery orders as needed
-

What We’re Looking For:
-
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
-
Friendly, approachable, and confident under pressure
-
A sharp eye for detail—especially when checking plates before they hit the table
-
Previous experience in host or expo roles is a plus, but we’ll train the right person
-
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
-
Must be 16+ to host, and 18+ to work expo (due to proximity to kitchen and alcohol service)
