    Position Overview

As a Server at Rendezvous, you’ll be a key part of creating memorable dining experiences. You’ll take orders, serve food and drinks, guide guests through our menu, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere from breakfast through dinner service. Whether it’s brunch, lunch, evening dining, or a wine-bar gathering, your role is essential in delivering top-tier hospitality and smooth service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism; present menus and describe dishes and daily specials

    • Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff

    • Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring quality presentation and guest satisfaction

    • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items — including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and wine/bar offerings — and be able to make recommendations

    • Clear, reset, and clean tables quickly between seatings; assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area

    • Handle guest requests, questions, and concerns courteously and effectively

    • Collaborate with colleagues (servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen) to ensure smooth flow during busy periods

    • Follow restaurant policies, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times

Qualifications & Qualities We’re Looking For

    • Previous serving or customer-service experience preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to make guests feel welcome and valued

    • Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts

    • Friendly, outgoing, and dependable — with a professional demeanor and strong work ethic

    • Comfortable working as part of a team in a dynamic, service-oriented environment

    • Availability for shifts that may include early mornings, weekends, evenings, and longer meal-service periods (Rendezvous serves breakfast through dinner, with extended hours mid-week and weekends)

    • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, carry trays, and move between tables efficiently

    What We Offer

    • Hourly pay plus tips

    • Opportunities to work across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and wine-bar service — giving you varied shifts and experiences

    • A friendly, supportive work environment with a focus on quality, hospitality, and community

    • Free or discounted meals during shifts (or employee meal benefits)

    • Opportunity to grow — with potential for advancement or additional responsibilities in the future
