We are currently recruiting for a line cook / food prep cook. This shift operates before the restaurant is open, during restaurant hours, and after close. Shift times may vary.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operationsExperience:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skillsSkills:
- Proficient in food handling and knife skills
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a dietary department setting
