Our pizza bakers are the MVPs of the Mellow Mushroom experience. So, you can expect to become the very best at your craft, while creating beautiful specialty pizzas, salads, munchies and hoagies that leave our guests craving more....
Are you ready to bake a Higher Order of Pizza™?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings (tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and more)
- Become a master at spinning dough in an open kitchen; our customers love this, they will cheer for you (for reals)
- Monitor exact temperatures and cooking times for our premium stone-baked pizzas
- Be comfortable talking to coworkers and guests; we want you to extend the Mellow vibe to everyone – especially team members
- Prepare the Mellow specialty pizzas our guests crave and rave about. This includes following recipes and creating build-your-own menu items that leave guests coming back for more.
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and utensils/equipment; we pride ourselves on strict standards for food safety

Description
You are the conductor of the Mellow Mushroom orchestra. You’re the first impression for guests, and first impressions set the tone for the guest experience. You greet everyone with a smile (including guests on the phone), maintain the waiting list, and seat guests according to server availability. Your attention to detail and communication skills are valued and crucial. You are also the final note of our guests’ experience, and your genuine ability to connect with guests is one of the many reasons Mellow guests keep coming back.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all guests with a smile upon arrival; maintain good energy and optimism in a fast-paced environment
- Seat guests according to server availability; accommodate special requests and answer questions about the menu
- Manage the waiting list like a pro; record names and party numbers then provide an estimated waiting time
- Answer phones and manage the wait list system; be the tour guide of the Mellow experience for call-in, dining room, and bar guests
- Assist with take-out orders, as needed
- Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness; assist servers and team members when called upon
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return; help ensure that every guest creates a positive memory

As Grill Cook for Mellow Mushroom, some of Mellow’s most loved dishes will be entrusted to your care to grill, prepare, and plate. Your fluency in fresh, tasty ingredients translates into delicious mouth-watering meals. Your skill at the grill is matched by your Mellow vibe and an innate ability to coordinate with the team and deliver just what the guest asked for and a little bit more. Sound like the challenge you have been looking for? We’re looking for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Mellow Mushroom menu; be the master of slicing, chopping, and grilling
- Possess an impeccable sense of timing; coordinating with other kitchen team members to ensure every table and guest receive orders in a timely fashion
- Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment; help kitchen staff when requested
- Help Mellow Mushroom<location> maintain a sanitized, safe, and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock, refill necessary items, and place orders for shortages
- Be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting heavy items while keeping a positive attitude
