jumping and the vibe steady while our team members serve up stone-baked pizzas, craveable food, and refreshing craft cocktails.

You thrive on leading a team through unique challenges while never losing sight of the business of managing a restaurant. This isn’t just any pizza place. And you aren’t just any Assistant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations - including staffing, food quality,
  service, and cleanliness
• Set the Mellow vibe with staff and guests, resolving guest issues as needed.
• Help us control the business end of the business; increase profits and minimize losses; assist
  in managing inventory and labor, including scheduling; resolve maintenance issues.
• Train new team members and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary
  service with a Mellow vibe
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to the Mellow
  Mushroom standards for safety and sanitation
• Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed; things sometimes break, we need you to help
  fix them

The assignment: mix amazing craft cocktails and serve up premium beer and wine that live up to our legendary pizzas. That alone would be a pretty sweet job, but there’s more.

Provide outstanding recommendations to guests based on their drink preferences and your knowledge of libations. Most importantly, serve as a living, breathing, hard-working example of the Mellow Mushroom vibe; be the coolest of the cool, a master of all things Mellow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guide guests and fellow Mellow team members to new and favorite libations; act as match maker between beverages and the legendary Mellow menu
• Craft delicious cocktails and serve drinks while engaging with guests to provide memorable experiences
• Continually seek out ways to exceed our guests’ needs and expectations; keep a positive attitude while dealing with customer feedback
• Help plan and serve bar menu; take food orders and serve guests at the bar
• Monitor, restock, and replenish bar inventory; keep the bar area sparkling clean
• Check IDs to confirm legal drinking age for all guests
• Handle bills and payments; keep the cash drawer balanced
• Comply with food and beverage regulations; maintain current knowledge of all laws affecting alcohol purchase and patron safety

As Busser, you’ll set the stage for service, clearing tables and help servers attend to customers. You’re a team player who would rather stay busy than sit on your hands and watch a clock. • Set all tables with proper plates, glasses, utensils, napkins, and condiments
• Clear tables when guests are finished (happy) and prepare tables for new arrivals (excited)
• Support wait staff by assisting them with guest needs; refill water and iced tea glasses; replenish utensils
• Help Mellow Mushroom maintain a clean and sanitary environment; sweep floors,
  take out trash, and pay attention to all surfaces
• Keep a clean and sanitary bussing station; take pride in everything you do at work

• Possess an impeccable sense of timing; coordinating with other kitchen team members to ensure every table and guest receive orders in a timely fashion

You are the conductor of the Mellow Mushroom orchestra. You’re the first impression for guests, and first impressions set the tone for the guest experience. You greet everyone with a smile (including guests on the phone), maintain the waiting list, and seat guests according to server availability. Your attention to detail and communication skills are valued and crucial. You are also the final note of our guests’ experience, and your genuine ability to connect with guests is one of the many reasons Mellow guests keep coming back.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet all guests with a smile upon arrival; maintain good energy and optimism in a fast-paced environment
• Seat guests according to server availability; accommodate special requests and answer questions about the menu
• Manage the waiting list like a pro; record names and party numbers then provide an estimated waiting time
• Answer phones and manage the wait list system; be the tour guide of the Mellow experience for call-in, dining room, and bar guests 
• Assist with take-out orders, as needed
• Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness; assist servers and team members when called upon
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return; help ensure that every guest creates a positive memory

• Prepare the pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings (tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and more)
• Become a master at spinning dough in an open kitchen; our customers love this, they will cheer for you (for reals)
• Monitor exact temperatures and cooking times for our premium stone-baked pizzas
• Be comfortable talking to coworkers and guests; we want you to extend the Mellow vibe to everyone – especially team members  
• Prepare the Mellow specialty pizzas our guests crave and rave about.  This includes following recipes and creating build-your-own menu items that leave guests coming back for more.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and utensils/equipment; we pride ourselves on strict standards for food safety
