We’re Mellow Mushroom and we’re looking for an Assistant Manager who keeps the joint
jumping and the vibe steady while our team members serve up stone-baked pizzas, craveable food, and refreshing craft cocktails.
You thrive on leading a team through unique challenges while never losing sight of the business of managing a restaurant. This isn’t just any pizza place. And you aren’t just any Assistant Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations - including staffing, food quality,
service, and cleanliness - Set the Mellow vibe with staff and guests, resolving guest issues as needed.
- Help us control the business end of the business; increase profits and minimize losses; assist
in managing inventory and labor, including scheduling; resolve maintenance issues. - Train new team members and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary
service with a Mellow vibe - Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to the Mellow
Mushroom standards for safety and sanitation - Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed; things sometimes break, we need you to help

Mellow Mushroom.
As Busser, you’ll set the stage for service, clearing tables and help servers attend to customers. You’re a team player who would rather stay busy than sit on your hands and watch a clock. If you're not already, you'll become a multitasking pro. Best of all, with this experience and a great attitude, this role could lead to more opportunities, like becoming a server. And did we mention the pizza?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help us provide a clean, pleasant, and Mellow dining experience for all guests
- Set all tables with proper plates, glasses, utensils, napkins, and condiments
- Clear tables when guests are finished (happy) and prepare tables for new arrivals (excited)
- Support wait staff by assisting them with guest needs; refill water and iced tea glasses; replenish utensils
- Help Mellow Mushroom maintain a clean and sanitary environment; sweep floors,
take out trash, and pay attention to all surfaces - Keep a clean and sanitary bussing station; take pride in everything you do at work

You’re a hard worker, a food lover, and a solid teammate. As Pantry Cook for Mellow Mushroom, you’ll learn each line from Salad/Appetizer to Sandwich/Grill to Pizza/Expo. What’s more, you’ll have everyone’s back.
You aren't shy to jump in and help where needed. Whether its some additional prep items as needed or a crush of ToGo orders, you rise to the challenge of getting the job done and getting it done right. Your Mellow vibe and ability to be a team player are just what we are looking for at Mellow Mushroom. Experience is fantastic, but we can always train people who want to learn. Is that you, friend?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Portion, prepare, and assemble menu items (Munchies, Greens and Sweets) as requested
- Possess a solid sense of timing; follow cooking and plating procedures to ensure each guest receives a timely, fresh meal
- Make sure food quality and presentation live up to Mellow standards; take pride in your work
- Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment; help kitchen staff when requested
- Help maintain a sanitized, safe, and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock, refill necessary items, and place orders for shortages
- Be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting heavy items while keeping a positive attitude

Are you ready to bake a Higher Order of Pizza™?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings (tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and more)
- Become a master at spinning dough in an open kitchen; our customers love this, they will cheer for you (for reals)
- Monitor exact temperatures and cooking times for our premium stone-baked pizzas
- Be comfortable talking to coworkers and guests; we want you to extend the Mellow vibe to everyone – especially team members
- Prepare the Mellow specialty pizzas our guests crave and rave about. This includes following recipes and creating build-your-own menu items that leave guests coming back for more.
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and utensils/equipment; we pride ourselves on strict standards for food safety
