Responsibilities:

• Planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a group setting.
• Monitoring up to 6 kids at a time and teaching boardgames, playing boardgames with them, and fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. 
• Mitigating risk and conflict of kids if there are any disagrements between campers

THIS POSITION IS LOOKING FOR AVAILABILITY 3PM-6PM MONDAY - FRIDAY / AND OR FULL DAY AVAILABILITY (8am-4pm) FOR CAMPS OVER THE SUMMER, NO SCHOOL DAYS, AND SPRING BREAK CAMPS. 

Hexagon Alley is seeking motivated candidates for Assistant Manager with experience in retail and restaurant hospitality management. Qualified candidates should have a love of board games, food and drink, and a deep desire to foster community, in a dynamic and fulfilling workspace. 

The Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the store, develops standard operating procedures, and assists the General Manager as needed. As part of the leadership team, the Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example and motivate the team to meet our standards and business goals.

Note: Some flexibility in scheduling will be necessary for week-to-week scheduling. Evening and weekend availability is necessary. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist the General Manager in determining and implementing target metric objectives

• Communicate and work in a collaborative environment 

• Develop implementation of strategies for advertising of promotional sales, retail displays and external communication

• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are upheld by team members

• Maintain confidentiality of all team member and customer information

• Oversee and execute opening/closing procedures

• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, food and liquor

• Train staff on standard operating procedures, product knowledge and customer service standards

• Enabling and facilitating Coordinators to succeed in their roles

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 1 Year minimum with hospitality, retail, and/or restaurant experience 

• Uphold health and food safety requirements storewide

• Ability to produce standard operating procedures 

• Train staff on standard operating procedures

• Ability to lift 30lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time

• Leadership skills and ability to work with teams 

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with customers and team members

• Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in using office software such as MS Word and Excel

• Ability to create and analyze reports from multiple data sets
