Description
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager Partner to lead the opening and daily operations of our new opening of a American dinner restaurant. This is a working partnership role requiring full commitment, leadership skills, and entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality and dedicated to building a successful operation from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations across multiple service periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night)
- Lead pre-opening activities including staff hiring, training, menu development, and establishment of operational procedures
- Manage fresh bakery operations ensuring quality and consistency of baked goods
- Develop and maintain food and beverage costs, inventory systems, and financial controls
- Create and implement marketing strategies to establish the restaurant in the local market
- Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, training, and leadership
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences through hands-on floor management and quality control
- Manage vendor relationships and purchasing to maintain quality standards
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in full-service diner, 3 meal period establishments
- Prior experience with restaurant openings strongly preferred
- Background in multiple meal periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner) operations
- Experience with bakery operations a significant plus
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and maintain effective teams
- Excellent financial acumen and business management capabilities
- Food safety certification and alcohol service compliance knowledge
- Strong understanding of local food trends and dining preferences
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to be fully invested in the business
