Job Summary

Diego’s Cantina in University City is hiring experienced full-time and part-time Servers to join our front-of-house team.

Our servers play a key role in delivering outstanding hospitality while guiding guests through our menu of bold Mexican flavors, house margaritas, and tequila selections. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and confident managing multiple tables while maintaining strong communication with the kitchen and bar teams.

Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

• Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor

• Provide detailed descriptions of menu items and make recommendations on food and beverages

• Guide guests through tequila selections, margaritas, and specialty cocktails

• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues quickly and professionally

Order Management & Service Execution

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them efficiently into the POS system

• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation and accuracy standards

• Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow

Dining Room Operations

• Maintain a clean and organized section throughout service

• Reset tables quickly and efficiently for incoming guests

• Assist teammates when needed to keep service running smoothly

Restaurant Knowledge & Standards

• Stay knowledgeable about tequila offerings, menu changes, daily specials, and happy hour promotions

• Maintain strong awareness of restaurant operations and service standards

• Uphold high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and professionalism at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a server in a busy, full-service restaurant

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional customer service

• Knowledge or interest in tequila, margaritas, and craft cocktails is a plus

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
