Chris McD's Restaurant and Wine Bar is currently looking for a General Manager/Front of House Manager. This position is full time, five days a week, with starting pay based on experience. Approximate full time schedule, and training schedule, is as follows. Applicants not able to work the following schedule weekly will not be considered.
Tuesday 1:30-5:00, Wednesday 1:00-11:30, Thursday 1:00-11:30, Friday 1:00-11:30, Saturday 1:00-12:00.
Chris McD's is an established restaurant and trend-setter in Mid-Missouri, which has been open for thirty-two years. The dining room seats 100 guests, with an additional 40 seats in the bar. We also feature a private dining room/additional seating for up to 55 people, and a newly added back patio with seating for 50. We are a silver account Certified Angus Beef member, serving only Choice or Prime rated steaks, as well as fresh seafood and local ingredients. We are known for having above average service and food, and are consistently rated as one of the finest dining establishments in Columbia.
The right candidate will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. You’ll oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. We’ll expect you to lead by example to uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinate daily Front of the House and and communicate with Back of the House

Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

Continuously touching tables and getting to know guests

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

Regularly review product quality and research new vendors

Organize and supervise shifts

Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

Estimate future needs for goods

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth, restaurant events, and social media

Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Oversees opening and closing tasks and balances daily and nightly cash drawers.
Qualified applicants MUST have fine dining experience and previous experience in management. Applicants should have knowledge of wines, experience with point of sale systems (specifically Toast), inventory, Excel and Word, and familiarity with social media.
Culinary knowledge or experience is not required but is helpful for this position.
