Job Summary:

Basso is seeking a passionate and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes from our menu, following recipes and plating standards.
  • Work multiple stations in the kitchen, including grill, pizza, garmo, sauté, and prep, as needed.
  • Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and preparing ingredients.
  • Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our high standards for quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work station.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
  • Assist in daily cleaning duties, including equipment, kitchen surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize food waste.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality food.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
