Job Summary:
Basso is seeking a passionate and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes from our menu, following recipes and plating standards.
- Work multiple stations in the kitchen, including grill, pizza, garmo, sauté, and prep, as needed.
- Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and preparing ingredients.
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our high standards for quality, taste, and presentation.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work station.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
- Assist in daily cleaning duties, including equipment, kitchen surfaces, and storage areas.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize food waste.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality food.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
