Being a Barback, you’re constantly saving the day (often without anyone noticing.) That’s how you know you’re doing your job well! Every position has standards of service particular to his or her job role. For the Barback, your standards of service are crucial to assisting the bartenders in adhering to their standards of service.

• Greet your guests warmly with a menu and a smile. 

• Ask questions about their visit and preferences to assist in making selections. Start a tab.

• Create all drinks in a timely fashion. Remember presentation here – both you and the drink.

• Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Talk to your guests frequently. Look for opportunities to sell.

• Keep your space clean and stocked. Always keep your bar top ready for the next guest.
