Kitchen Porter Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter at Arzola’s, you are the backbone of the kitchen operation. You support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with food preparation and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering our promise of Legendary Hospitality through teamwork and support

• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work surfaces, including counters, walls, sinks, and equipment

• Sweeping and mopping floors throughout the shift to maintain cleanliness

• Washing cookware, utensils, plateware, and cutlery efficiently to keep service running smoothly

• Organizing and maintaining equipment and ingredient storage areas

• Rotating food products using proper FIFO (first-in, first-out) procedures

• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning

• Removing trash and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness

Requirements & Qualifications

• Team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and interest in kitchen operations

• Ability to stand and move for several hours during shifts

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Calm, patient, and composed under pressure

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: Starting at $18/hour
