For over 25 years, A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith, family, and whole-child development. We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Lead Teacher to guide and nurture our 3-year-old classroom.

The Lead Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom is responsible for overseeing the daily classroom environment, guiding children through routines and learning experiences, and fostering a safe, loving, and engaging space where every child can thrive.
This role includes classroom leadership, communication with families, and collaboration with staff, as well as supporting outdoor play and overall classroom management.

- Has experience leading or co-leading a preschool classroom
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Loves working with young children and understands their developmental needs
- Can remain calm and patient in high-energy or stressful moments
- Communicates clearly and positively with both children and families
- Is dependable, organized, and takes initiative
- Values a nurturing, Christian-based learning environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in early childhood education (required for Lead role)
- Experience in a preschool or childcare setting preferred
- Strong ability to manage a classroom and guide routines independently
- Must be mature, dependable, and attentive to children’s needs
- Must pass a criminal background check
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the 3-year-old classroom with confidence and consistency
- Guide children through daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Implement and adapt lesson plans to meet classroom needs
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and daily activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety
- Maintain a warm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
- Collaborate with administration and staff to support the preschool as a whole

Part-Time Preschool Teacher (Afternoon Support)

For over 25 years, A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith, family, and whole-child development. We are looking for a part-time teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon hours.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves children and is looking for a consistent, meaningful part-time role in a warm and supportive environment.
About the Role
This position focuses on afternoon classroom support, helping guide children through rest time, afternoon activities, and end-of-day routines.
You’ll work alongside our teaching team to ensure children feel safe, cared for, and engaged as they transition through the second half of their day.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers during afternoon routines and transitions
- Help supervise rest/nap time and maintain a calm environment
- Support children during playtime and classroom activities
- Assist with snack time and cleanup
- Help with end-of-day routines and classroom organization
- Ensure children’s safety at all times
Schedule
- Part-time, Monday through Friday
- Afternoon hours (generally early afternoon through closing)
