Job Type: Full Time (~45 hours per week). 6-7 shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Hiring: Assists with the talent recruitment and selection process for all employees including servers, bartenders, & cooks. May help conduct employment interviews.
- Staff Onboarding: Assisting with on-site orientation for all new hire staff members. Ensuring that all staff are properly trained by department Training Captains.
- Employee Files: Keeping employee files organized and up-to-date. This includes employee write-ups, Hepatitis A documents, Id’s, SS Cards, W-4’s, and I-9’s
- Management Meetings: Presence and participation in routine all-manager meetings.
- Inventory Counts: Assist with month end inventory counts and weekly hot item counts. Help perform audits of items outside of the variance count thresholds. Maintaining standard Post alcohol COGS.
- Store Management: Responsible for properly opening and closing the store, as well as assisting with general shift duties such as bussing tables, running food, and greeting customers.
- Staff Management: Proactive management of staff including developmental and disciplinary meetings, conversations, and coaching. Holds staff accountable to Post disciplinary standards.
- Guest Management: Responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience, preventing and/or defusing guest issues and complaints
- Hosting Duties: Proactively engage guests and ensure all guests leave with a smile.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Have attained a high school diploma or GED
- Strong managerial skills in terms of delegating, documentation, and coaching/mentoring employees
- Attention to detail, responsible, punctual
- Personable, friendly, and not afraid to smile
- Organizational skills and ability to use email
- Serve Safe certification (if not already certified, AGM will be required to complete Serve Safe prior to completion of training)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Prior restaurant or hospitality industry management experience
- Familiarity with SpotOn Point of Sale system and online Google Docs
- Inventory count experience and inventory controls
