Wok Thai & Crafted Rolls is seeking a talented and creative Sushi Chef to join our hospitality team at our vibrant location in Creve Coeur. In this full-time role, you will craft both traditional and modern sushi dishes while working in a fast-paced kitchen that values quality, precision, and creativity. Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation
  • Expertly prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty dishes with precise knife work and beautiful presentation
  • Consistently ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet the restaurant’s quality standards
  • Innovate new menu items or seasonal specials in collaboration with the head chef or management
• Kitchen Operations
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitized sushi station throughout service
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering fish, produce, and specialty items as needed
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and the front-of-house team to ensure smooth, efficient service

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar kitchen staff role
• Excellent knife skills and in-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
• Understanding of proper handling and storage of raw fish and seafood
• High attention to detail with a commitment to food quality and consistency
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Food safety certification preferred
