The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers.

POSITION PURPOSE: Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets. Promptly respond to in-bound inquiry calls and follow-up to capture desired business. Maintain individual goal to maximize revenue and profitability, while giving quality service to meet or exceed customer’s expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Achieve individual sales catering goal. Conduct outside sales calls, promote the restaurant, and research potential clients. Tour existing, former and potential clients, providing information about the venue and by utilizing an effective and positive sales technique. Actively participate in cite visits and customer meetings. Actively participate in the execution of catering events.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: Participate as a team player with other key associates of the restaurant. Professionally represent the restaurant in the community and participate in key business organizations as recommended by management. Provide constructive feedback to all restaurant departments and to corporate sales and marketing staff. Maintain open communication with all restaurant departments and it’s management team. Be a leader and role model to all Associates. Other duties as assigned by the General Manager such as: cross training, assisting in other departments, etc.

OTHER: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of their venue. Employees are required to attend mandatory group and/or department meetings in addition to their regularly scheduled shift as necessary.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Strong sales skill and techniques, and proven ability to sell products and services. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse stress, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to access and accurately input and retrieve information using a moderately complex computer system. Computer skills must include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi (or other comparable system). Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and patrons. Sales experience necessary.
