Position Summary/Objective
The Senior Director of Corporate Operations is responsible for leading the company's regulatory compliance, human resources, training, and information technology functions. This role ensures that critical risks are identified, mitigated, and managed effectively, balancing customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, financial impact, and legal considerations across our operations. The Senior Director will help foster an ethical and team-oriented culture that aligns with the company's vision.
We seek a passionate, detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior Director of Corporate Operations to oversee regulatory compliance, related training, human resources, and information technology functions. This role will develop and implement company-wide policies, procedures, and programs while adhering to industry regulations, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring compliance within the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities

Maintain a thorough understanding of company strategy, operations, and key business risks, implementing effective compliance controls across operations.

Drive performance measures across departments; communicate strategy and oversee the execution of operational procedures.

Oversee the operations of regulatory compliance, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), human resources, training, and information technology.

Continuously monitor federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring compliance and updating policies and procedures as laws change.

Interface with regulatory agencies and external associations to build trust, influence emerging regulations, and stay informed on industry standards.

Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Create and maintain compliance and ethics toolkits/checklists for business units.

Implement strategies to promote employee engagement, continuous learning, and a compliance culture.

Develop and execute competency and training programs, ensuring that employees meet required standards and certifications.

Conduct company-wide compliance training, ensuring employees are current and compliant with regulations.

Promote an inclusive environment where employees feel empowered to voice concerns and suggestions without fear of retaliation.

Ensure thorough documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain updates as required.

Provide updates to executive management on external compliance trends, emerging regulations, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.

- Work Experience:
-
5+ years of experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, biotechnology, tobacco, or pharmaceuticals is preferred.

Demonstrated progression in a leadership role, working with upper management and executives for long-term business plans.

Experience within a regulatory compliance role, with a history of leadership in human resources, talent development and/or operations management.

Proven experience in overseeing employee training, policy development, employee relations, and regulatory compliance programs.

Experience managing in fast-paced, complex, or regulated environments, with a focus on fostering a compliant and supportive workplace culture.

Strong foundation in developing and leading processes enables the company to meet its long-term goals. employee relations, HR, and the management of compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Previous management experience involving HR, business, or compliance strategy, operations oversight, and customer-facing service standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in HR compliance and regulatory oversight.
Other Requirements:

Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible.

Must pass stringent background test requirements of Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
Compensation:

The position is classified as exempt and not eligible for overtime pay.
