Closing Bartender – Tequila & Craft Cocktail Bar

Part-Time | Weekend Availability Required

Job Summary

Diego’s Cantina is seeking an experienced Closing Bartender to join our team and lead evening bar service in our busy Mexican restaurant and tequila bar.

This role is responsible for managing a busy bar and service bar simultaneously, preparing cocktails quickly and accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized bar throughout the shift. The closing bartender ensures the bar runs efficiently during peak service and completes all end-of-night closing duties.

The ideal candidate thrives in high-volume environments, maintains a strong sense of organization behind the bar, and delivers friendly, professional hospitality to guests.

Full-time hours may be available for candidates interested in additional serving shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities

Bartending & Guest Service

• Prepare and serve cocktails, margaritas, beer, wine, and other beverages efficiently

• Manage bar guests while simultaneously operating the service bar for the dining room

• Deliver friendly and professional hospitality to all guests seated at the bar

• Maintain strong awareness of drink quality, accuracy, and presentation

Service Bar Operations

• Prepare drinks for servers during busy service periods

• Communicate with servers to ensure timely and accurate drink orders

• Maintain pace and efficiency during high-volume shifts

Bar Organization & Cleanliness

• Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service

• Maintain bar tools, glassware, and garnish prep

• Assist with restocking liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies as needed

Closing Responsibilities

• Complete all bar closing procedures and cleaning tasks

• Ensure the bar is reset and properly stocked for the following shift

• Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout the shift

 


 

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of bartending experience

• Ability to handle high-volume bar service and service well simultaneously

• Knowledge of classic cocktails and margarita preparation

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Friendly, professional personality with strong hospitality skills

• Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy shifts

Weekend availability required
